Engineering
We offer an Advanced Engineering Department with expertise in the Development and Improvement of Manufacturing Processes.
We apply our experience in R+D+i to develop successful Industrial Projects.
We carry out engineering projects such as:
- Machinery design and CE marking: We design and develop machinery and capital goods tailored to the needs and requirements of our customers, working together with them in the development of the project. Our Engineering Department, in cooperation and continuous communication with our customers, analyzes the processes under the required needs and translates the most optimal solutions for each case into detailed construction drawings. Design of machinery from concept engineering to the manufacture and installation of the equipment, static and dynamic calculation using FEM programmes, development of part and assembly drawings, homologation and CE marking.
- Pressure equipment and piping: Santander Global Metal also designs and manufactures pressure equipment, atmospheric equipment, piping and piping layout from the concept phase to detailed engineering. For this we rely on our engineering department specialized in the design and analysis of custom-made equipment, in the preparation of detail drawings for manufacturing and assembly, in the design and calculation of piping systems, as well as in the preparation of isometrics and lists of materials.
- Valve design: We also specialise in the design of gate, globe and check valves. In addition to the development and simulation of differential pressure flow meters. Design according to ASME, DIN, API, Norsok, NACE, etc. standards with sizes from 2″ to 30″ or DN15-DN300 and pressure range #150-#2500 or PN10-PN250.
- Advanced design and calculation: Given our knowledge and experience as well as our finite element simulation capabilities, Santander Global Metal is capable of designing and calculating metallic structures, frames, lifting equipment, etc. In short, structural elements subjected to static or dynamic loads, or also subjected to thermal or fluid dynamic effects.
- Development of manufacturing technologies: Thanks to our knowledge and experience in production processes such as machining, forging/ stamping or mechanical welding processes, we are able to study and define the viability of the manufacturing processes of parts or mechanical elements through simulation, allowing us to eliminate or reduce problems inherent to such manufacturing, assessing the viability of the production process according to the customer’s requirements or even improving the times of such production process. We carry out engineering work in the field of welding, machining and others such as forging/stamping.
- Design of production lines: The complexity of production lines and their particularities on each occasion are also part of the day-to-day work of Santander Global Metal’s Engineering Team. Whether it is the renovation of an obsolete production line, or the adaptation of the same to a new process, or even the complete design of a new line, Santander Global Metal is able to facilitate the work and optimise each step taken in these areas. In addition, the Engineering Department, through its Site Management area, will be able to monitor the construction and implementation if required by the project or client.
- Adaptation of machinery: The new regulations related to machinery safety require that in some cases these require slight adaptations or even more in-depth reconstruction projects. The Engineering Department has extensive experience in machinery adaptations, especially in RD1215 machinery safety.
